Challenge Week 5

Due July 27 - something you would give a gift in (box, bag, cello topper, etc.)

I'm going to skip this one too... sorry!

Challenge Week 4

Due July 20 - Sassy Stems Layout on Page 97

Well, I had good intentions of creating a card for this challenge, but we had an impromptu weekend away to Ogunquit, Maine so my deadline has come and gone. Sorry, but no card this week.

I've Been Blog Tagged

I was tagged by Lisa Somerville to list 7 random things about myself... I'm supposed to tag 7 other people to perpetuate the game, but I'm not (sorry!)

1. I really hate playing these games, although I do enjoy reading what other people post.
2. I have a Bernese Mountain Dog named Snickers.
3. My hobbies are knitting, reading, photography, and stamping.
4. My favorite color is red.
5. I live in Massachusetts, but originally hail from Maryland.
6. I am a SAHM which I enjoy (only 47 days until school starts... LOL)
7. For my 50th birthday, I want to rent a house in Tuscany, Italy for 1 month.

Last But Not Least

And my last creation is a birthday card for my MIL. This started out as a leftover supplies card - I had that piece of designer paper sitting on my desk and decided to put it to use. I just LOVE the new Pick A Petal set and the new InColor Groovy Guava goes so nicely with this retired paper. (Remember, Pretty in Pink was too pink, and Cameo Coral was too orange?)

Supplies
:
Stamps: Pick A Petal, Warm Words
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Appricot Appeal
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Whisper White, Groovy Guava
Accessories: Spring Flowers DS Paper, Dimensionals, Brad (from SEI)

And Another One

This card was created as a thank you for my Longaberger demo. I know, she should be thanking me for placing an order, but I won a cute Woven Traditions bowl from her, and thought it would be nice to say 'thanks for picking me.'

Supplies
:
Stamps: Basket Full of Fun
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Soft Sky, Blue Bayou, Whisper White, Kraft
Accessories: Palette o'Prints DS paper, Watercolor Crayons, Aquapainter, Dimensionals

Oh, The Agony!

This blogger challenge thing is a BLAST! I am having so much fun creating my challenge cards that I am already done with my card for this week... I'm dying for you to see it, but I can't post until Friday. So, instead, I'll show you a few cards that I created over the weekend.

This is a belated birthday card for my brother, Ray. He loves old cars, so I thought this would be right up his alley.

Supplies
:
Stamps: Loads of Love
Ink: Basic Black, Real Red
Cardstock: Creamy Caramel, Real Red, Always Artichoke, Basic Black, Whisper White
Accessories: Watercolor Crayons, Vintage Brads, Rustic Retreat Ribbon, 1/2" circle punch, Cutter Kit, Aquapainter

Challenge Week 3 - Christmas in July

So... the blogger challenge for Week 3 is to create a Christmas themed card using non-traditional colors, but we can use any layout and any stamp set. Hmm... my first thought was to use an alpha and spell out M-E-R-R-Y in some funky color scheme... but then some uknown force took over, and I came up with a completely different idea.

Check back on Friday for my post... nothing says Christmas like the new 'In Colors' Soft Sky and Groovy Guava. Add a dash of Tempting Turquoise, a little Whisper White and a touch of Basic Black and your bells will be jingling!
