Challenge Week 10

Due August 31 - Copy layout from Page 92 of the catalog

* animation provided by my wonderful and exceptionally talented husband

While the focus for this assignment was mainly the top of the card, I thought it would be fun to make the whole thing... after all; I have a bunch of those Pockets & Pieces sheets and never use them.

Then, I turned it into my birthday card to my daughter who turns 7 on Sunday, September 2. So, thank you Lisa (blog challenge Mom) because I would never have made such an elaborate birthday card... and I know she will simply adore it!

Here is a shot of it without motion -

Challenge Week 8

Oops... I missed this challenge... sorry guys! I'll be back on track with challenges when the kids start school in 3 DAYS!

Challenge Week 7

Due August 10 - Alter something - a frame, tin, chipboard, etc.

I have to confess... I am going to cheat this week... I am away on vacation and unable to participate fully in the challenge. I previously altered a lunchbox tin for my upline, Elizabeth and have never posted it on my blog so I'm going to sneak it on this week. Some of you will remember it, I'm sure. I will post the 'before' photo and supply list when I return home.

Challenge Week 6

Due August 3 - Layout on Page 165 from the 2007 Fall-Winter Collection catalog.
Whew... finally got a card done for the weekly challenge! I SO cannot wait until school starts to have 'my' time back. Anyhow, this was a fun card to make - I couldn't stop adding things, which is so unlike me. I added Crystal Effects to the flower centers and my faux brads and in doing so, dripped a smidge on the designer paper. I tried to cover it up with a little dab of ink, but you can still see it (sorry!)

Supplies:
Stamps: Three in a Row, Big Blooms (retired), and Canvas BG
Ink: Sahara Sand, Purely Pomegranate, Soft Sky
Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Soft Sky
Accessories: Metal Edge Circle Tags, Palette O'Prints Designer Paper, 1/2" Circle Punch, Taffeta Ribbon, Crystal Effects, Crop-O-Dile 3/16" punch, Dimensionals, Paper Snips.
