New Challenge Players
Challenge Week 11

So, how adorable is the new DSP (designer series paper) Cutie Pie? I am completely in love with it... so fun, fresh and happy... you can't help but smile when you look at it.
This is my take on the assignment. I think it came out well - I REALLY wanted to use a chipboard piece - one of the flowers from the Blossoms & Basics On Board kit would have been ideal. But, of course, I only have On Board Accents and that flower was too big. So, I took a leftover piece that held 4 circles and trimmed it down - using the table top cutter! (I'm determined to put that thing to work, since it is fairly 'spendy' as a friend of mine is fond of saying.) The cutter worked great, and I ended up with a fairly unique accent that I covered with Pomegranate c/s. This was a fun one - and the DSP makes it so EASY - no fretting about what goes with what - just pull colors out of the paper! The only difficulty is deciding which side of the paper to use... LOL.

Due August 31 - Copy layout from Page 92 of the catalog

While the focus for this assignment was mainly the top of the card, I thought it would be fun to make the whole thing... after all; I have a bunch of those Pockets & Pieces sheets and never use them.
Then, I turned it into my birthday card to my daughter who turns 7 on Sunday, September 2. So, thank you Lisa (blog challenge Mom) because I would never have made such an elaborate birthday card... and I know she will simply adore it!
Here is a shot of it without motion -
