Bead Challenge

Since I don't have any photos up of my current projects, thought I'd post some of my previous work... enjoy!

This card was for a swap challenge using beads. Since I only had 1 container of beads (gasp!) I was pretty limited in my design which presented a REAL challenge. I used the Write Me a Memory font CD and typed 'Merry Christmas' in several languages on cardstock. I didn't want the words to be the focal point, so I layered a piece of vellum on top.

Supplies:
Stamps: The World Over (Level 1 Hostess), Alphabits
Inks: Real Red, Basic Black
Cardstock: Real Red, Garden Green, Whisper White, Vellum
Accessories: Earth Elements Beads, Wire, Watercolor Pencils, 1/4" Circle Punch, Write Me A Memory Journaling Fonts CD Vol 1 & 2

Color Coach Challenge

And another challenge card - using SU's color coach, the idea was to select a color and also use the color directly opposite it on the wheel. I chose Not Quite Navy/ Bordering Blue and So Saffron/Pumpkin Pie.

Supplies:
Stamps: Carte Postale
Inks: Not Quite Navy
Cardstock: Bordering Blue, Not Quite Navy, So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: Chipboard, Designer Paper, Vintage Brads, Grosgrain Ribbon

Happy Sunday!

I've been frantically trying to finish up my swaps for my stamping retreat. Work is going slowly since we are leaving for Florida in 3 days and need to wash/pack/prepare for the trip. I have the designs done for all 3 cards - the 2 regular swaps and 1 contraband. And, most of the elements are cut for each, so I could bring them with me to assemble (but will I have time?) I still need to come up with something for a 3D swap... hmmmmmm?

March

Good Morning -
Yesterday, I enjoyed a couple hours of stamping with my upline Elizabeth. We are attending a weekend stamping retreat in 3 weeks, and have lots of swaps to prepare. We both worked on our card swaps (photos to follow when they're done) and still have a 3D item and a contraband card to complete.
